Founded in 1930 by Percy Mould, the Wild about fruit Company has a heritage of more than 70 years of fruit growing in Victoria's beautiful Yarra Valley. Our 100% Australian owned family business has flourished through three generations, with Percy's son Geoff, and more recently Geoff's son, Ben, increasing acreage from the 7 acres of original family farm at Wandin to over 750 acres. Our orchards are all situated in the state of Victoria; at Coldstream, Bacchus Marsh and Kerang in the North West. Our head office, fruit pack-house and juicing facility are situated on the original family farm in Wandin just over an hours drive east of Melbourne.

We specialize in growing Apples and Cherries as they are a perfect combination of orchard fruit for the Yarra Valley region's cool climate. As farmers and manufacturers, we use many organic and environmentally sensitive management practices. This is part of our overall corporate philosophy to be "clean and green". Our farming is based on sustainability; from growing our trees, using IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and our own worm farm that uses up biodegradable waste and in turn provides organic fertilizer for the farms.

In 1998 Ben had a goal to produce an apple juice as healthy as a real apple, and one that tasted like it was just hand picked from the orchard. It sounds simple, but no technology existed to produce an apple juice this pure. Not to be deterred Ben saw this as an opportunity, and after 2 years of R & D with the help of scientists Ben invented a patented juicing process that is still exclusive to Wild about fruit.

In the year 2000 apple juice was 're-invented' with the launch of the Wild about fruit brand. We then discovered that this superior apple juice made the most amazing naturally fermented vinegar and along came a range of Wild about fruit Vinegars. In February 2005 our newest addition - Wild Child juice was born on the orchard and launched nationally.

As farmers in Australia we have the opportunity to produce the cleanest most sought after food in the world.
